International online conference within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project

“On May 22, 2020, an online conference was held within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project “”Establishment of Leather Hubs in Russia and Mongolia””.
On May 22, 2020, an online conference was held within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project “”Establishment of Leather Hubs in Russia and Mongolia””. The project focuses on strengthening and enhancing the role of universities in creating innovative potential, technology transfer, and commercialization of applied research results in the field of raw leather processing at enterprises in Russia and Mongolia.
The conference was attended by leading professors of the Department of Leather and Fur Technology. Water and Commodity Management and the Head of the International Department of East-Siberian State University of Technology and Management Shombueva B. V.
The online conference summed up the results of implementation of the main tasks and directions within the framework of establishing leather hubs in Russia and Mongolia. Also, the issues of methodological assistance of European colleagues in the development of curricula, methodological recommendations taking into account the competencies implemented in the context of the Bologna process were considered and discussed. The focus of curriculum development was on maintaining the link between learning outcomes and other components of the Bologna architecture, such as the European standards and quality assurance principles, the qualifications framework for the European higher education area and, through it, the European qualifications framework for lifelong education.
The Russian delegation was represented by the Head of the Department of Leather and Fur Technology. Water and Commodity Management, doctor of technical sciences, prof. Shalbuev D. V., who presented a report on “”WP4: Dissemination, Exploitation of Results and Sustainability””. He reviewed the main results achieved by professors of Russian (ESSUTM, BSAA) and Mongolian (MUST,MULS) universities together with commercial partners, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Buryatia and Mongolian Leather Industry Association.
During the discussion of the report, it was noted that the Department of Leather and Fur Technology. Water and Commodity Management, ESSUTM, has purchased testing equipment in the amount of 5 units, which has been installed in the classrooms. Purchase and installation of modern digital test equipment will allow students of the direction 29.03.01 «Light manufacturing technology», profile «Leather and fur technology » to conduct research at a modern professional level.”
